What is a direct repair shop?
...top of page...
A direct repair shop works with your
insurance company to streamline your repairs. Direct repair shops
must meet requirements established by the insurance company in the
areas of employee certification, equipment, available services, and
customer service history. These shops write the estimate, order the
parts, and repair your vehicle without waiting for an insurance
adjuster. Insurance companies constantly monitor direct repair shops
to ensure quality service.
How direct repair works:
After an accident, file a claim with your insurance company. If you
choose one of the shops on your insurance company's direct repair
list, your claim is sent electronically to that shop.
Take your car to the shop for an estimate.
J&K will return it
to the claims office. With your approval, the shop then begins
repairs -- sometimes even the same day.
When the vehicle is repaired, you pay any
applicable deductibles from your auto policy directly to the shop.
The remainder of the bill is sent to your insurance company.
Do I need a claim number?
...top of page...
If you want us to repair your vehicle and
request payment from your insurance company, we must have a claim
number. Your insurance agent will give this number to you when you
file your claim. We can also work with your insurance company to get
your claim number if you have lost it or misplaced it.
Do I have to pay a deductible?
...top of page...
Any time you file an insurance claim for
automotive repair you must pay a deductible. This amount is
determined by your insurance company.
Who do I pay my deductible to?
...top of page...
Your deductible is due to J&K Body Shop at
the time you pick up your vehicle.
Are you open on Saturday?

a.m. to 5 p.m. However, we can work with you to
schedule estimates, drop off, or pick up. Please call us at (405)

Can I get a ride home when I drop my car off?
...top of page...
If you are unable to arrange transportation,
we can drive you back to your home or work. Please let us know in
advance if this will be necessary.
Will the parts be ordered before I drop my car
off?
...top of page...
Once we receive confirmation from you and
your insurance company that we will be repairing your vehicle, we
will start ordering the parts a few days before your scheduled
drop-off day to ensure a quick turnaround on your vehicle.
How long will the repairs take?
...top of page...
As each accident and vehicle are different,
we cannot give a definitive answer to this question without first
seeing the damaged vehicle. Your estimator will give you a time
frame for repair along with the cost estimate.
What forms of payment do you accept?
...top of page...
We accept personal, business, and insurance
checks and all major credit cards.
What if my insurance company is paying?
...top of page...
You must pay your deductible and any other
charges not covered by your insurance plan at the time you pick up
your vehicle. J&K will work with your insurance company to ensure
that you know exactly what you owe before you come in.
Can I get a rental car?
...top of page...
J&K can coordinate with a number of rental
companies to provide you with a car while your vehicle is being
repaired. We will either arrange for you to pick up your rental car
at our lot, or we will provide transportation to one of the nearby
rental car companies.
You are responsible for all charges
associated with renting a vehicle that are not covered by your
insurance plan. Please check with your insurance company prior to
requesting this service.
